The Viral Spinach Wraps
- 🌪️ Food processor
- 🔄 Rolling pin + floured surface
- 🔪 Dough scraper or knife
- 🍳 Dry, non-stick pan or skillet
- 🧖♀️ Clean kitchen towel
-
1Blend it up: Toss the fresh baby spinach, flour, water, olive oil, and salt into a food processor. Blend until a smooth, vibrant green dough forms.
-
2Knead lightly: Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead it gently for just a minute until it’s smooth and workable.
-
3Divide and roll: Use a scraper or knife to divide the dough into 6 equal pieces. Roll each piece out very thin.
-
4Cook: Heat a dry, non-stick pan over medium heat. Cook each wrap for about 2 minutes per side until small brown spots appear.
-
5Keep them soft: Crucial Step! As soon as each wrap comes out of the pan, keep them covered with a clean kitchen towel so they steam slightly and stay completely flexible. Fill with your favorite lunch ingredients! 🥑🍗
- 🧖♀️ The Towel Trick: Covering them straight out of the pan traps the steam, which is the secret to getting them perfectly flexible without cracking.
- 🍞 Flour options: You can use standard all-purpose flour, or swap for a 1:1 gluten-free baking blend if you have dietary restrictions.
- 🌿 Spinach: Make sure you really pack the spinach into the measuring cup to get that vibrant green color and added nutrients.
- ❄️ Storage: Store cooled wraps in an airtight bag or container in the fridge for up to 4 days. Reheat for 10-15 seconds in the microwave to soften before rolling.
